“The Tasting Room at Sip” Launches Easter Brunch

WHAT: On April 5th, 2015 “The Tasting Room at Sip” will officially open its doors with a special Pop Up Easter Brunch featuring Chef Josh Lewin and Katrina Jazayeri’s Bread & Salt Hospitality.

“The Tasting Room at Sip” is more than an addition to the already popular Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen restaurant located at 581 Washington Street in Boston’s Theatre District. It is in fact, the newest addition to the Legendary Restaurant Group’s portfolio of restaurant concepts focused specifically on meaningful interaction around food & wine. The new space which replaces Avery Provisions hosts 48 seats, with traditional seating, communal tables, a full service-bar, an open kitchen and sweeping floor-to-ceiling windows facing Boston’s busy Theatre District.

The culinary space’s primary function is to host pop up events, cooking classes, tailored team building events and private functions. “It’s a space without an agenda. With the increasing commercial and residential traffic growing by the day we thought that creating a place where people could extend their ideas into a culinary space would fulfill a need. If a company wants to take out their entire office and spend the day rolling sushi, we’ll set it up. If someone wants to try out a restaurant concept in the space, we’ll give it a shot. If someone wants a cooking class or night out with their friends and family, we’ll create it. We built it, now it’s up to the neighborhood to do what they want with it,” said Chris Damian Chef/Owner of Legendary Restaurant Group which operates Papagayo Restaurants, Burger Dive, Max & Dylans and Scollay Square.

On April 5th, 2015 from 10:00AM – 3:00PM, Bread & Salt Hospitality, on the heels of closing their temporary restaurant, Bread & Salt at Wink & Nod, is offering an alternative to the average Easter experience for one day only. With three options to choose from, including a simple yet refined three course prix fixe featuring classic options like French toast and poached eggs, as well as, tasting menus in five or nine courses with glimpses of some Bread & Salt Hospitality signatures alongside some previews of what is to come. Culinary conjuring from Chef Lewin to include omelet farcie with caviar and black truffle, Persian style lamb with potato, saffron pickles and burnt onion and a show-stopping take on Greek lemon soup.

There will be no tired ingredients here. With everything made from scratch, including a house-brined ham made from pastured pigs from Brooks Cloud Farm in Maine, by the skilled and patient hands of Chef Joshua Lewin and his staff, this is an event not to be missed and sure to be remembered. Try something different this year!
